Chesterfield Cellars 2018 Sauvignon Blanc

87 Points - Tastings.com (Beverage Testing Institute)

Light and pretty, this Sauvignon Blanc was carefully crafted to challenge some of the great Sauvignon Blancs from the Loire Valley in France. Slight lemongrass and crispness let the minerality of this wine show through. Earthy and terroir-driven, this wine has all the characteristics of an Old World Sauvignon Blanc. Subtle floral and bubblegum notes open to round stone fruit, finishing with a gravely mineral texture that holds on for a long finish. These balanced components make this wine great for an afternoon on the patio or paired with light appetizers of goat cheese with an ash rind, as made popular in the Loire Valley of France.
